A local charity that provides assistance to homeless families enlisted the help of Studio Y Creations for a fundraising campaign. We designed a small house to be transported to various locations in the city to increase public awareness and raise funds to combat homelessness.
When the house was assembled at each location, the recipients were encouraged to make a donation and were given the opportunity to suggest the next location for the house. In this fashion, the house travels from place to place throughout the city, raising money for the cause.
The modular design of the house made it easy to disassemble, transport, and install anywhere in the city; but still looked great!
The following year we were happy to be involved again, this time building a new house designed to look like a mushroom. This house was featured as a push float in the Calgary Stampede Parade as part of the annual fundraising campaign. Afterwards, it was given away as a prize in a raffle that raised even more money for the charity.
